THREE RED LIGHTS ERROR
The three red light error is one of the red light errors in the Xbox 360 console. The console is designed as such it has some sort of error indicating mechanism that will help the users to troubleshoot the problem whenever there is any. The arrangement is such that the console has a power ring in which it consists of lights that are capable of glowing in both red and green color. The console, if it is working normally then the lights will glow green in color or if there is any problem in the operation then the red lights will glow and the number of red lights depends upon the type of the error that happens. The console will also display an error message on the screen stating the whereabouts and the reason why the error has occurred.
Now the console is experiencing an error called as the three red light error. This error is otherwise called as the red ring of death as the problem continues to occur in the console leading to the death of the console. In the console, the red light error occurs only if there is a problem within the console. But now the three red light error occurs very often and it can be seen very well when the console is overheated. Experts said that the problem might be because of overheating as it can cause the three red lights to glow in the power ring area.
ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM
The experts from Microsoft found that the console is been affected by the heat. This is because of the reason that the cooling system has failed as they are not that efficient. The cooling is so enormous that the console cannot cool the console to the normal level and because of this the extreme temperature inside the console had affected the performance of the electronic components in the motherboard leading to the restart of the console. Now after the examination it was found that it is because of the poor design of the console that is the base for all the problems in the console.
If your console has the same three red lights error, then there is no problem because there are many solutions now found to solve the problem. At the beginning users don't know the exact reason for the occurrence of the error. But now they have found that too. The simplest and the economical way of solving the three red light error is to remove the X clamps from the motherboard that are used to support the heat sinks, fixed directly to the motherboard. Thus now users will able to see the bottom side of the processor and this arrangement is going to solve the problem as the fresh air from the surrounding will flow inside the console through the ventilation and will help in cooling the motherboard and will reduce the excess heat developed inside the console.
